Privacy policy
Zenith: Night Sky. Last updated: October 11, 2026
Zenith does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app leaves your iPhone or iPad.
Location
If you allow it, Zenith uses your location to show the sky above you. It is used only on your device and is never sent anywhere. You can choose a city instead.
Motion sensors and camera
Zenith uses your device's motion sensors so the sky follows where you point it. If you turn on the camera view, the live camera is shown behind the sky. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent.
Network use
Zenith works offline. It connects to the internet only in two cases you choose:
- Satellites. While Satellites is turned on, Zenith downloads public satellite orbit data from CelesTrak (celestrak.org) at most once a day. The request contains no personal information.
- High detail downloads. If you tap Download in Settings, sharper planet images are downloaded from Apple's servers.
Like any internet request, these reach the server from your network address, which we never see or receive.
Settings
Your preferences (for example night mode or your chosen city) are saved on your device only.
Children
Zenith collects no data from anyone, including children.
